I have this issue with my ASDM...
I have a 5505.. running ASA 903 and ASDM 721
I configured everything and when I do show arp table socket it shows that it's listening on port 443 on 192.168.1.1...
I can ping it but when I open the https://192.168.1.1 I can't see anything...!!!
I telnet 192.168.1.1 443, so it seems it can connect, I enabled the terminal monitor so I can debug,, I see the request come in to 5505 machine but then on SSL handshaking it just stop.. nothing else..

what am I missing to configure my ASA 5505, I need to have the ASDM page come up so I can work with it..
Please help..if you need more info to help, dont hesitate to ask or test me on (240) 257 two 9 two 6 , Tom..
Thank you so much for reading nd your help in advance ;)

Hi Chris Did you try re-installing your ASDM file  ? The asdm-615 bin file is almost 7 MB (7598456 bytes)Cisco Adaptive Security Device Manager for ASA 8.0(2), 8.0(3), 8.0(4), 8.1(1) and 8.1(2). You also have the the new version ASDM 6.2.5 asdm-625.bin  Release Date: 11/Jan/2010Cisco Adaptive Security Device Manager for ASA 8.0, 8.1 and 8.2.Size: 11584.20 KB  (11862220 bytes) Check the appropriate ASDM image and you can install and check if it works good. Hope this helps.. all the best Raj

Thanks for all the replies. Raj, I meant it works on 98/100 firewalls (99/100 now as I resolved the issue on another), but it never loads on this firewall. KS, I don see "ssl encryption aes128-sha1 3des-sha1" under sh run ssl.. but Im not sure this is required as Br Jimmy is spot on the money with the ASDM image size. Surprised I didn notice that myself.. Thanks again for the help, much appreciated. Chris

Verify your asdm-image. It looks too small... Br Jimmy.http://blogg.kvistofta.nu
