CUPS and System Dashboard Error

CUCM: 6.1(3b)

 

We are using DNS SRV records with the CUCM/CUPS integration and we are using the SIP Publish method for exchanging presence information between the CUCM and CUPS.  I haven been on site in months and as far as I know everything is functioning, though I have an admin who is asking me why the CUPS Troubleshooter is showing the following warnings and errors:

 

 

1. Warning: Invalid Presence Gateway. Unreachable gateways include:_sip._tcp.hq-cucm.uc.myplace.priv

2. Warning: Possible missing SIP trunk on Cisco Unified Communications Manager. Each Cisco Unified Presence server should have a corresponding SIP trunk configured (unless DNS SRV is enabled). Possible missing entries include: xxx

3. The port for the SIP Publish Trunk on Cisco Unified Communications Manager does not match any configured ports for the Cisco SIP Proxy Listeners on the Cisco Unified Presence server

 

It has been a while but I believe that these are erroneous messages.  Message #2 is definitely erroneous and it says that if you are using DNS SRV, then no worries.  I also believe that I always had Message #1 and things validated/functioned as expected.  But I figured it would be worth checking with others to see.  I did check to make sure that the SRV record resolves to valid and reachable hosts.

 

For message #3, I also think this is bogus.  When I configure the SIP trunk in CUCM and enable SRV (record that points to the CUPS cluster), the port number automatically changes from 5060 to 0.  I think that this is what message #3 is complaining about.  Again, I believe this all works but I am double checking to see if the above messages are expected when using SRV records between a CUCM and CUPS cluster.

 

I seem to have misplaced Michaels book so I thought this would be the next best thing ;-)

I think this was documented in "CSCsy62807: Troubleshooter should be able to handle SRV records" and is supposed to be fixed in CUPS 8.0(1).

 

Troubleshooter on 7.x was not able to handle SRV records.  Did you have a chance to try 8.0(1) yet?

No, I have not.  I tried to check the defect to see the specifics and determine if all three of my warnings/errors are addressed in the defect.  However, this defect isn publicly viewable.  Do you know if all three of my warnings/errors are "expected" (i.e. part of this defect)?
